‘Castle of Dreams’ to vie at Asia Pacific Filmfest

‘Castle of Dreams’ has been set to screen at Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival.

‘Castle of Dreams’ starring Hamed Behdad has been set to screen at the 2019 Brisbane Asia Pacific Film Festival in Australia.

Directed by Reza Mirkarimi, the social flick which is titled ‘Qasr-e Shirin’ in Persian has been officially invited to attend the competition section of the Australian film event.

Also produced by Reza Mirkarimi, a brief synopsis for ‘Qasr-e Shirin’ reads, “Jalal Moradi, a 42-year-old father of two, kills a family in an accident. In the court of law, the murder is recognized as accidental killing without intent. After getting out of prison, he leaves his wife and kids and moves to another city. Two years later, he must go back to his home town as his wife is brain-dead.”

Among many wins, the latest festival attendance for the film was the 22nd Shanghai International Film Festival. ‘Castle of Dreams’ succeeded to take home three awards from the event, which were the Best Actor, Best Director and also the Golden Goblet prize.

Established in 2007 and headquartered in Brisbane, APSA is an international cultural program.

The 13th edition of APSA presents the awards to the winners in Brisbane, Australia, on November 21, 2019.
